<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insertion method in which the end portion of an electric cable protruded from the grip part can be inserted without bending when inserting a waterproofing rubber into the electric cable, and further, at that time, the terminal fitted to the inserted electric cable is inserted in a state of securing a good electrical contact with the core wire of the cable. <P>SOLUTION: This is the insertion method of inserting the waterproofing rubber 3 into the end portion 2 protruded from the grip part 10 at a desired depth D by an insertion device which has a grip part 10 for gripping the electric cable 1 at a position backward from the end portion 2 of this electric cable 1 and a chuck 20 for inserting the waterproofing rubber 3 into the end portion 2 by holding the waterproofing rubber 3. The method comprises an initial insertion in which the electric cable 1 is gripped at a grip position which is located shorter than the protrusion length L of the end portion necessary for inserting into the desired depth D and the waterproofing rubber 3 is inserted to be in half-insertion state and an additional insertion in which the electric cable is gripped again at the position further backward than the half-insertion state and the waterproofing rubber 3 in half-insertion state is further inserted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
