<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head which achieves a larger carry of the golf balls by arranging a crown member made of a fiber-reinforced resin to enhance the resilience of the face plane part. <P>SOLUTION: In a hollow golf club head, the front part is provided with a face part 20 made of a highly resilient light metal, a side circumferential wall 3 made of a metal is formed unbroken in a belt up to the heel part via the back part from the toe part and an upper opening part defined by the side circumferential wall is covered with the crown member 30 made of the fiber-reinforced resin.
