<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head and a golf club which can prevent the golf club shaft from slipping off and the golf club head from idly turning against the golf club shaft as caused by the impact or the like even when the connection force between the head and the shaft is weakened. <P>SOLUTION: The golf club head 10 has a head body 22 for striking the golf balls and a hosel part 28 having an insertion hole into which a golf club shaft 40 is inserted. The insertion hole of the hosel part 28 is a through hole 30 which pierces the head body 22 and has an opening part in the head body 22. In the through hole 30, the opening part 32 on the side of the head body has a prescribed distribution of the radius of curvature in the shape of the projection made onto the surface vertical to the axis C thereof and the projected area of the opening as given when the opening part 32 on the side of the head body is projected onto the surface vertical to the axis C of the through hole 30 is larger than that as given when the opening part 31 on the side of the hosel part is projected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
