PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitance sensor capable of detecting surely with high reliability only the change of a dielectric on the detection electrode side. SOLUTION: In this capacitance sensor, a detection part having a sensor electrode 1a and a ground electrode 1b is formed on one surface of a substrate, and an electric circuit part having a mounted electronic component 1d is formed on the other surface, and a conductive thin plate material 1f is disposed on the surface on the electric circuit part side. A sensor for detecting based on the capacitance measured between electrodes by using the detection electrodes is known hitherto as a sensor for detecting a dielectric such as liquid or powder and grain. By this capacitance sensor, (1) though there is a probability of appearance of another dielectric which is not a detection object on the different surface side from the detection electrode surface according to an environment wherein the sensor is mounted, such a noise must be surely ignored, and (2) the problem is solved, wherein, when a dielectric approaches the electronic component mounting side in a conventional capacitance sensor, a capacitance change is caused between the detection electrodes through a sensor substrate or the like, and resultantly a wrong signal may be outputted.
