PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide powder for coating with metallic luster capable of imparting favorable metallic luster on the surface of a coating film with monolayer structure without causing cracks and/or significant cost increase and capable of maintaining the favorable metallic luster over a longer period, to provide a coating with metallic luster using such powder, and to provide a coating film with metallic luster formed using such a coating. SOLUTION: The powder for coating with metallic luster consists of spherical or granular particles 10-200 nm in mean size with uniform individual particle size, i.e. with sharp size distribution, at least whose surface is formed of a noble metal or alloy thereof produced by depositing metal element ions including noble metal ions through reducing these ions by the reducing action in oxidizing trivalent Ti ion to tetravalent Ti ion.
