PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve hulling efficiency of an empty grain while preventing damage to real unhulled rice in regard to a hulling device. SOLUTION: This hulling device is constituted of a raw unhulled rice air sorting means 28 which classifies unhulled rice from an unhulled rice hopper 6 into the real unhulled rice and the empty grain, a real unhulled rice supplying means 23 which supplies the real unhulled rice sorted by the raw unhulled rice air sorting means 28 to a hulling section 1, an empty grain preliminarily treating means 31 which performs preliminary treatment that a surface of the empty grain classified by the raw unhulled rice air sorting means 28 is injured to facilitate hulling and an empty grain supplying means 23 which receives the empty grain subjected to the preliminary treatment by the empty grain preliminarily treating means 31 and supplies it to the hulling section 1.
