PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upright vacuum cleaner whose cost is made low and whose space is saved by making a cleaner body detachable and eliminating the need of different components for exhaust back flow at the time of use as an upright form. SOLUTION: The cleaner body 1 provided with a motor-driven blower 11 and a dust collecting part 12 and a hose 2 communicating with the dust collecting part 12 are detachably attached to a stick part 3 provided with a suction tool 31 for a floor and a handle 32 for an operation. Also, the cleaner is provided with a reflux path connection part 4 for directly connecting a reflux path 37 for making exhaust flow back to the suction port 311 of the suction tool 31 for the floor to an exhaust flow path 10 for making the exhaust from the motor-driven blower 11 flow in a state where the cleaner body 1 is attached to the stick part 3.
