<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift controller of an automatic transmission with the manual mode capable of selecting an adequate engine braking force generating method by reflecting the intention of a driver for deceleration, emphasis on fuel consumption or emphasis on re-acceleration during the manual down-shift in deceleration. <P>SOLUTION: The shift controller of the automatic transmission with the manual mode capable of selecting the gear stage of a plurality of fixed gear ratio by the manual operation comprises a regular manual down-shift control means to perform the down-shift according to the shift command to only the automatic transmission 2, a rotational synchronization manual down-shift control means by the cooperative control of an engine 1 and the automatic transmission 2, a driver intention reflection means to reflect the intention of a driver for deceleration, emphasis on fuel consumption, or emphasis on re-acceleration, and a down-shift control selection means to select the regular manual down-shift control means if the intention of the driver is for deceleration, or emphasis on fuel consumption in the manual down-shift during deceleration or to select the rotational synchronization manual down-shift control means if the intention of the driver is for emphasis on re-acceleration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
