PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector which can effectively capture abrasive powder and chips generated by working so as to surely make the inside of a bag-like filter unit full of the abrasive powder and chips. SOLUTION: The filter unit is provided with the filter unit 4, a dust collecting pipe 3 inserted to the inlet opening 6 of the filter unit 4 and extended over the inside and outside of a filter body 4a, a suction machine 8 for sucking air from the lower side of the filter body 4a, and a hanger 7 for locking the filter. The filter unit 4 has an inlet part 4b in which the inlet opening 6 is provided on the upper part of the vertically extended bag-like filter body 4a. The inlet part 4b has an inlet holding member 23 which is fixed to the filter body 4a and holds the inlet opening 6 in the opening direction. A locking part 23c, which is locked to the hanger 7 so as to be capable of freely locking/unlocking and makes the filter unit 4 to be held in a suspended state, is formed with the inlet holding member 23.
