POLYOL COMPOSITION FOR RIGID POLYURETHANE FOAM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING RIGID POLYURETHANE FOAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyol composition using pentane as a foaming agent and forming a rigid polyurethane foam having finer cells and better strength and heat insulating properties than those of a conventional foam and to provide a method for producing the rigid polyurethane foam. SOLUTION: The polyol composition for the rigid polyurethane foam comprises a polyol compound and the foaming agent and is used to provide the foam by mixing with a polyisocyanate component and reacting therewith.The foaming agent consists essentially of the pentane and the amount of the added pentane is 3-20 pts. wt. based on 100 pts. wt. of the polyol compound. In 100 pts. wt. of the polyol compound, 10-50 pts. wt. of an alkylenediamine polyol having 400-600 mg KOH/g hydroxyl value, 10-40 pts. wt. of an alkylenediamine polyol having 700-800 mg KOH/g hydroxyl value and 20-70 pts. wt. of an aromatic diamine polyol having 200-500 mg KOH/g hydroxyl value are contained.
