PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device for sheet roll package capable of rapidly and surely detecting a defective. SOLUTION: One or several sheet rolls T in which a sheet is wound with an inner hollow part S are packaged with a translucent packaging material 30. All the sheet rolls T are scheduled to be turned in a predetermined direction, and the sheet rolls T stacked in this direction are scheduled to be laid in a state in which the respective inner hollow parts S are substantially matched in a plan view. The inspection device for such a sheet roll package P comprises a light radiating means 11 for radiating light toward the inner hollow part S, and a light passing quantity detection means 20 for detecting the quantity of the light radiated from the light radiating means 11 which passes through the translucent packaging material 30 and the inner hollow parts S.
