PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve torque detection precision by fully increasing a magnetic flux passing through a window 21 made of a nonmagnetic body 14. SOLUTION: A plurality of windows 21 are formed in the peripheral direction at equal intervals at the cylindrical nonmagnetic body 14. Two coils 9 are arranged concentrically at the outer periphery side of the nonmagnetic body 14 corresponding to the axial position of each window 21. Three ways of both the axial sides and outer periphery side of each coil 9 are surrounded by a yoke 16 made of a magnetic material. Axial inner edges 22, 23 of the window 21 are arranged at a remote side from the axial center of the yoke 16 in comparison with axial outer sides 24, 25 of the corresponding yoke 16.
