PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue a follow-up running mode without requiring a lot of operations of a driver. SOLUTION: A controller 6 calculates a car speed of a preceding car and judges whether or not the running in the follow-up running mode can be continued based on the car speed of the preceding car and a set car speed. When the controller 6 has judged that the running in the follow-up running mode is impossible, the controller 6 informs the driver that the running in the follow-up running mode is impossible by controlling a buzzer 4 and an indicator 5. In addition, the controller 6 informs the driver of the actual car speed of the preceding car and urges the driver to change the set car speed by controlling the buzzer 4 and the indicator 5. By this configuration, the driver can change the set car speed before the completion of the change from the follow-up running mode to the constant speed running mode.
