PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding tape which realizes beautiful finish and shows general-purpose properties, in a hot-melt bookbinding tape using a heating element. SOLUTION: The bookbinding tape 1 with a hot-melt adhesive layer formed on one surface or both surfaces of a flat heating element, is fitted to the inside of a spine cover of the bookbinding file such as casing face cover 7. A bundle of pieces of paper to be bound are loaded into the bookbinding file and a power supply electrode is applied to both upper/lower ends of the spine cover part. Consequently, the power supply electrode comes into contact with the end of the flat heating element, which is in turn, energized and a hot-melt adhesive melts by the heat of the flat heating element to bond the spine cover of the bookbinding file and the paper bundle together. Thus the bookbinding file is outwardly presentably finished because the contact or the like of the flat heating element is not exposed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
