PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium cutting device capable of sucking or carrying a recording medium surely even after a plurality of recorded images are cut individually, and to provide a recorder comprising that recording medium cutting device. SOLUTION: Means 210 and 230 for cutting the recorded part of a carried recording medium in the carrying direction and the direction intersecting the carrying direction perpendicularly cut each image in one set of areas being set arbitrarily and recorded with a plurality of images and then cut off one set forming area in the direction intersecting the carrying direction perpendicularly. Since the forward end of the recording medium is arranged by cutting for each set, a large hole does not exist at the forward end of the recording medium when next set is recorded.
