PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of unevenness in print density without requiring any complex cam mechanism or control even when a platen is inclining. SOLUTION: Drive time correction data for the gap length and block correction data for the gap length measured for each block are prestored, and the drive time is corrected by the block correction data of a block where a head is located at the time of printing. Alternatively, the drive time correction data for the gap length and inclination information obtained by measuring the gap length at least two points within a printable range are stored, the gap length is calculated from the head position and the inclination information at the time of printing, drive time correction data for the gap length is extracted and the drive time is corrected.
