The invention relates to a piezoelectric actuator, for example for actuating a mechanical component. Said piezoelectric actuator has a multi-layered construction of piezoelectric layers and internal electrodes (2, 3), which are located in between said layers in the active direction and to which a positive and negative electric charge can be alternately applied. The actuator is characterised by the alternate contacting of the internal electrodes, which is respectively conducted to the exterior, said alternate contacting resulting from a different electrode design for each internal electrode (2, 3). Said internal electrodes (2, 3) are alternately contacted by means of contact elements (5, 6; 12, 13), which make contact with the respective internal electrode (2, 3) in an inner cavity (5, 6) of the piezoelectric actuator (1) and conduct the charge to the exterior perpendicular to the layered construction. |
