A control device for a working vehicle, capable of satisfying both a high work rate and reduced fuel consumption at the same time. A controller (10) has tables (10a, 10b, 10e, 10f) for determining maximum pump suction torque and engine output torque based on an engine speed and has selecting portions (10c, 10g) for switching the determined maximum pump suction torque and engine output torque depending on whether the vehicle is in a work rate mode or in a reduced fuel consumption mode. Pump suction torque characteristics for the reduced fuel consumption mode is set so that maximum pump suction torque (TB) is rather low in a high speed range, and engine output characteristics for the reduced fuel consumption mode is set so that engine output torque is rather low in the high speed range.
