摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fixing structure for an optical element with which the deviation of an optical axis and damage and the like to the optical element are prevented even when ambient temperature is changed, and an optical head device. SOLUTION: In the optical head device 1, the 1st element surface 61 of a prism 6 is attached and fixed in a positioned manner to the 1st positioning surface 31 of a device frame 3. The 2nd element surface 62 of the prism 6 abuts on the 2nd positioning surface 32 of the frame 3 defined by small projections 36 and 37 which are deformed. Thus, even when stress caused by the difference in a thermal expansion coefficient between the frame 3 made of zinc alloy and the prism 6 made of glass is applied to the small projections 36 and 37 when the ambient temperature is changed, the stress is absorbed by acting as force to deform the small projections 36 and 37, whereby large force is not exerted on the prism 6.
