PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily obtaining an alkali metal hydrogen carbonate having a large crystal grain diameter by a crystallization method from an aqueous solution in high yield by an industrially simple apparatus. SOLUTION: In the method of reacting the aqueous solution containing an alkali metal ion with carbon dioxide in a prescribed reactor and crystallizing the crystals of the alkali metal hydrogen carbonate, a part of slurry containing the crystals in the aqueous solution is taken out from a crystallizer to dissolve a part of the crystals and after that, returned to the crystallizer.
