PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device, which makes a communication with a communication device, capable of reducing power consumption while being speedily adapted to a function that the communication device requests. SOLUTION: The imaging device having a communication means of communicating with a communication device has a means of receiving function request information sent from the communication device side, a function deciding means of deciding the contents of the received function request information, and a power source control means of setting a power source operation mode of the imaging device according to the decision result of the function deciding means.
