PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable radiation angle strobe apparatus, which can improve insufficient distribution of light in the peripheral part of the irradiation area in a wide-side condition. SOLUTION: A diffusion control part consisting of a concave cylindrical lens having a light diffusion function only with respect to the longitudinal direction of a flash discharge tube or only with respect to the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the flash discharge tube is provided on one surface of a light control member. A first light concentration control part consisting of a convex lens having a light concentration function for concentrating the light only with respect to the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the flash discharge tube is provided to the central area of the other side, and a second light concentration control part consisting of an annular lens having a light concentration function for concentrating the light with respect to all directions is provided to another area of the other side.
