PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely adjust a back focus distance. SOLUTION: The variable focal lens 1 is provided with a front lens group, a rear lens group, a focus ring 6 for moving the front lens group before and behind a front cylinder part 2 via a guide mechanism, and a zoom ring 7 for moving the rear lens group before and behind a rear cylinder part 3 via the guide mechanism, and the lens 1 is mounted on a camera main body 40 via a board mount 56. The lens 1 has an adjusting eccentric pin 10 which is held in the arrangement part 38 of the zoom ring 7 so that it can be rotated by nearly a fixed angle, and whose eccentric tip shaft part 12 penetrates the inside, and a groove part 35 arranged in the peripheral direction of the rear cylinder part 3 and bringing the tip shaft part 12 in contact with the corresponding abutting end face 35a in the peripheral direction. Then, with an operation of rotating the eccentric pin 10, the rear lens group is moved in accordance with the positional displacement of the tip end part 12 and the back focus distance is adjusted.
