PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor for forming a stable image for a long period of time, by having small amount of ozone and nitrogen oxide generated and using an electrifying method which is of low electric power, and to provide a processing cartridge and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor which brings an electrification member into contact with the electrophotographic photoreceptor and is used for the image forming apparatus having an electrification means for electrifying, the electrophotographic photoreceptor has at least an intermediate layer, a charge generation layer and a charge-transport layer on a conductive support, the film thickness of the intermediate layer is 5-25μm; and the film thickness of the charge-transport layer is 5-20μm.
