PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid endmill extending the tool life without easily causing welding in machining aluminum materials. SOLUTION: In the solid endmill, a chip discharge groove 13 is formed on the outer periphery of an approximately columnar tool body 11 to be rotated around an axis O, and a cutting edge 16 is formed on the ridge on the outer peripheral side of the wall which is a rake face 14 toward the tool rotating direction T of the chip discharge groove 13. A protruded part 21 rising relative to the part 20 continuing to the cutting edge 16 side of the rake face 14 is formed between a position separating from the cutting edge 16 of the rake face 14 to the inner periphery and the groove bottom part 19 of the chip discharge groove 13.
