PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical press with which the occurrence of cracks, deformation or the like in a drawing work is evaded. SOLUTION: The mechanical press is provided with a frame (12), a crankshaft (14) which is rotatably supported with the frame and has a plurality of eccentric parts (22), a slide (16) consisting of one siding part (34) on which a through hole (4) extended vertically is provided and the other sliding part (36) which is arranged in the through hole of the one sliding part and vertically movable, a plurality of connections (18) which converts the rotational motion of the crankshaft into the ascending and descending motion of the one sliding part and a driving mechanism (42) for generating the ascending and descending motion of the other sliding part.
