PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet irradiation device capable of improving the treating capacity. SOLUTION: The device is provided with flow passages 5, 19, 9 through which a fluid to be treated passes and a plurality of ultraviolet irradiation units 17 installed in the flow passage 19 to irradiate the fluid to be treated with ultraviolet rays. In the device, further, the ultraviolet irradiation units 17 is installed with ultraviolet lumps 31 in the state of extending in a direction crossing the flow of the fluid to be treated in the flow passage 19, and the flow passage 19 is installed with the plurality of ultraviolet irradiation units 17 in parallel in the flow direction of the fluid to be treated in the flow passage 19. In an ultraviolet irradiation part 7 in which the plurality of the ultraviolet irradiation units 17 are installed in the flow passage 19, the space between the adjacent ultraviolet irradiation units 17 is a throttling part 19c in which the width between wall surfaces in the direction along the extending direction of the ultraviolet lumps 31 in the flow passage 19 is narrowed, thereby accelerating uniformization of the amount of the ultraviolet irradiation which the fluid to be treated and objects to be irradiated in the fluid to be treated receive, and improving the treating capacity of the ultraviolet irradiation device.
