Method for exchanging a sleeve (1) on a print machine cylinder (2), whereby the cylinder diameter is reduced by moving the cylinder parts (4, 5) towards each other, the sleeve is removed, a replacement sleeve is mounted on the cylinder and the cylinder diameter is increased again by moving the cylinder parts away from each other. The invention also relates to a corresponding print machine cylinder.
