The control valve (1) comprises a housing (2), inside which two control pistons (5,6) are provided. The control pistons are independently displaceable from each other by a spring force, which is applied by a spring (11, 12) at their first end faces (5a, 6a). The recesses and/or openings (7-10) of the control pistons, as well as the spring forces are chosen in such a way that the volume flow, depending on the actual control pressure, can be variably realized in at least two part sections.
