A display controller for a stereoscopic endoscope comprising left and right imaging units for imaging an object having a parallax by means of left and right separated objective lenses and CCDs, and a stereoscopic endoscope capable of altering the focal length by moving a focal point adjusting lens. The display controller is arranged to display the image within a range being imaged commonly by masking such a range of left and right images being displayed on left and right display elements that can be imaged by only one of the left and right imaging units.
