<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output window cleaning device for an exposure unit capable of cleaning the output window of the exposure unit easily and positively as well as making the constitution compact. <P>SOLUTION: The exposure unit 30 forms an electrostatic latent image on the respective photoreceptor drums 22 of the image forming units 21M, 21C, 21Y and 21B of a printer 1. A glass cleaning body 61 sliding in the direction crossing the tandem arranging direction of the output window is combined with the dust-proof glass 33 covering the output windows 32M, 32C, 32Y and 32B of the exposure unit 30. A drive glass cleaning body 61a and a driven glass cleaning body 61b are connected to each other by a traction cable 68 wound on idle pulleys 69M, 69C, 69Y and 69B and synchronously move. While the drive glass cleaning body 61a and the driven glass cleaning body 61b are urged in one direction with a tensile coil spring 67, the handle operation rod 70 of the drive glass cleaning body 61a is pulled to move the cleaning bodies in the opposite direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
