<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid double-sided recording medium for inkjet recording and thermal recording, which has good recordability of an inkjet recording surface, and which prevents the occurrence of fogging and color erasing on a thermal recording surface. <P>SOLUTION: Inkjet recordability is imparted to one side of a substrate mainly composed of pulp and a thermal color-development layer and a protective layer are provided on the other side, a 4-hydroxy-4'-benzyloxy-phenyl sulfone, and a di-p-methylbenzyl ester oxalate or a di-p-chlorobenzyl ester oxalate are contained in the thermal color-development layer; and an inorganic pigment and an aqueous polymer are contained in the protective layer. Particularly, on the side with the inkjet recordability, a 30-second Cobb's water absorbing capacity, which is measured by using a 5% isopropyl alcohol aqueous solution, is set to be in a range of ≥10 g/m<SP>2</SP>and ≤50 g/m<SP>2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
