<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system in which the power consumption is little when starting below freezing point. <P>SOLUTION: This is a fuel cell system which has a fuel cell 1 that carries out power generation by hydrogen and oxygen and a pure water tank 2 that stores the pure water to be supplied to the fuel cell 1. The system is equipped with a water temperature sensor 13 and a temperature sensor 14 for detecting the temperature of the pure water tank 12, a pump 3 for supplying pure water to the fuel cell 1, a heater 12 for warming the pump 3, and a controller 15 which determines the operation start timing and the completion timing of the heater 12 based on the temperature to be detected by the water temperature sensor 13 and the temperature sensor 14 when starting below freezing point. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
