摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic controller for a vehicular continuously variable transmission which can suitably suppress the degradation of the durability of a power transmission member of a continuously variable transmission and the deterioration of the fuel consumption of a vehicle. SOLUTION: An up-side solenoid valve 88 is controlled in order to exclusively control transition engagement pressure by supplying the output pressure Pr of the up-side solenoid valve (a solenoid valve for gear change) 88 to a transition engagement pressure control valve 66 as control pressure via an oil passage L before a transition period in a prescribed time elapses from a switching point from a neutral state to a traveling state. Next, after a prescribed time elapses from the switching point from the neutral state to the traveling state, the engagement pressure P<SB>C1</SB>of a forward clutch (a hydraulic frictional engagement device) C1 is switched from the transition engagement pressure P<SB>CT</SB>to the preset original pressure P<SB>C</SB>by a switching valve (a switching valve device) 68. The up-side solenoid valve 88 switches an input-side hydraulic cylinder (a hydraulic cylinder for the change gear) 43 to a controllable state in response to the switching.
