PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic lens holding method and a plastic lens holding structure capable of holding a plastic lens highly precisely without increasing the space around the plastic lens and also without deforming the plastic lens. SOLUTION: In the plastic lens holding structure 11a, in which the plastic lens 11a is held by a lens frame 111 by caulking with a caulking part 111a of the lens frame 111 constituting a zoom lens barrel 11, the plastic lens 11a is caulked while inserting a ring-like member 112 having a slit forming elasticity in the caulking direction and constituted of resin material between the plastic lens 11a and the caulking part 111a.
