PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device for preventing dust externally intruded or dust caused by operations of the inside of an imaging element from adhering to the imaging element to provide no hindrance to image data and to provide a mobile terminal provided with the imaging device. SOLUTION: The imaging device is provided with: the imaging element; a pedestal formed with a leg pressed into contact with the imaging element; an imaging optical system for guiding the light from the subject to the imaging region of the imaging element; and an outer frame member which contains the imaging element, pedestal and imaging optical system, wherein the pedestal or part of the outer frame member seal the space of the imaging element on the photoelectric conversion surface side.
