PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of easily detecting and notifying whether an image input device for reading input image data or an image output device for outputting image data is abnormal or not. SOLUTION: This image processor is provided with an image composition processing part 14b for compositing the read data of the device abnormality detection chart inputted by the image input device 21 with the teacher data of a device abnormality detection chart stored in a data storing part 14a to form a composited output image, a device abnormality detection processing part 14c for reading again the composited output image outputted from the image output device 22 by the image input device 21 and detecting an abnormal state in the image input device 21 or the image output device 22 on the basis of the read result, and a display part 23a for notifying the abnormal state of the image input device 21 or the image output device 22 detected by the device abnormality detection processing part 14c.
