PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a molding polycarbonate material excellent in the mutual fusion preventing properties of pellets, formed into pellets having a uniform shape and uniformly melted at the time of melt plasticization. SOLUTION: In a method for obtaining a pellet molding material from a molten polymer based on polycarbonate, the molten rod-shaped polymer discharged from a cap is cooled for 0.01-2 sec in the atmosphere and the cooled polymer is solidified by the contact with cooling water to manufacture the molding polycarbonate material.
