PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin film clad metal sheet and a resin film clad metal can, which are excellent in foaming and foam retaining properties. SOLUTION: The resin film clad metal sheet is coated with a resin film, which has a layer structure of single, double or more layers and uses a thermoplastic polyester as a main component. The resin film clad metal sheet has, not less than 0.05 wt% or 1,000 per 1 mm<SP>2</SP>of particles with a particle size of 0.5-5μm in a resin of the uppermost layer, not less than 500 per 1 mm<SP>2</SP>of particles with the particle size of 0.5-5μm exposed on the surface of the resin film, or not less than 500 per 1 mm<SP>2</SP>of projections formed of the particle with particle size of 0.5-5μm on the surface of the resin film.
