摘要 The present invention provides a method, system and computer-readable medium for operating a robot in an automatic material handling system (AMHS). The method includes indicating a token to a first port for pre-setting a first corresponding job item of the first port to be processed, processing a second job item with the robot while the second job item locates in a different section to the first job item but in a same section to the robot and of waiting for being processed to a same section to the first job item, processing the first job item with the robot, and moving the token off from the first port.
