<p>The prosthesis has no palatine plate and is made in two segments (3, 4) joined with a seam (1, 2, 6) of a soft synthetic material in order to facilitate a slight motion in particular in relation to the breathing of the owner. The seam (1, 2) is guided first through the gap (1) between the front teeth and then in a u-shape (2, 6) towards the rear edge of the base. The created u-shaped segment (7) is particularly rigid and has an extremely smooth surface preventing the tongue of the owner from a frequent unintentional lifting of the area. A soft insert (5) bridges the rear gap and protects the tissue from pressure marks.</p> |
