Method for creating a program code for personalizing a data carrier, especially a payment chip card, whereby in a generation step, an object structure of the program code is generated, which contains personalizing data and in a compilation step the object structure is converted to a program code file. The generation of the object code is achieved using a graphical user interface, whereby at least a pre-coded code element is selected. Independent claims are also included for the following : (1) the corresponding software tool for implementing the inventive method; (2) a data carrier with an implemented inventive method; (3) a data carrier with an implemented inventive software tool.
