<p>A catalyst for clarifying an exhaust gas containing an Al oxide and Pd carried thereon, characterized in that the Al oxide is an LnAlO3 (Ln: a rare earth metal); and a method for producing the catalyat. The catalyst for clarifying an exhaust gas exhibits satisfactory clarification performance also in the low temperature operation during idling (400°C or lower).</p>
