The communication system includes a communications device (1) for transferring data between terminals of subscribers. There is at least one computer (3a - 3c) connected to the communication device, which comprises of several control devices (7a-7c) for performing certain tasks for the control of the communication device. The latter receives an alarm signal from one of a microphone, IR motion detector or video camera. The alarm devices (11), preferably integrated in the computer, are coupled with the computer and monitor at least one parameter of the computer, producing a warning signal if the actual value of the supervised parameter deviates from a predetermined nominal value. The warning is relayed to a control station (14) via a modem. |
