<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slag-making material for refining steel, which promotes the slag formation of quick lime added for refining steel without using fluorite while utilizing aluminum dross and a waste refractory material, consequently reduces the erosion of a furnace wall due to the use of fluorite while keeping sufficient refining capability, and also previously prevents anxiety for land pollution. <P>SOLUTION: The slag-making material for promoting the slag formation of the quick lime added during refining steel comprises 60-90 wt.% aluminum dross, 5-20 wt.% MgO-CaO based waste refractory material, and 5-20 wt.% in total of a MgO-C based wasted refractory material and a MgO-Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>-C based waste refractory material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
