摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical method for detecting the failure of a solar cell module 15a, or the like, applicable even when a photovoltaic array 10 comprises only a parallel connection of solar cell modules 15a, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: When a photovoltaic array 10 is constituted of a parallel connection circuit of solar cell modules 15a, or the like, a reverse current preventing diode 4a, or the like, is inserted in series with the + side wiring of a power generation element 2a, or the like, in each solar cell module 15a, or the like. When one solar cell module 15b, for example, in the photovoltaic array 10 fails and its voltage drops abnormally, a reverse current preventing diode 4b is brought into reverse bias state by the voltage difference from other normal solar cell modules 15a and 15c, for example. On the other hand, a light emitting diode 6b in a failure detecting circuit 17b is brought into forward bias state and lighted.
