<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for diagnosing a vehicle and its apparatus for reducing a frequency of notification necessary for a user. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle 10 transmits alarm lamp lighting information, vehicle ID information and user identification information to a center 20 when determining an occurrence of abnormality. The center 20 transmits the received the alarm lamp lighting information to a vehicle dealer computer 30 at a dealer. The center 20 acquires information about dealing with the abnormality transmitted from the dealer and creates abnormality notification to transmit it to the vehicle 10. At this time, the center 20 determines whether the transmission of the abnormality notification is the first one or not, or a prescribed period has elapsed or not. Depending on this determination, if it is the first one or the prescribed period has elapsed, the center 20 transmits the abnormality notification to the vehicle 10.
