PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content search device that makes it possible to efficiently manage meta information about contents stored in terminals on a network, thereby searching for the contents. SOLUTION: A meta information database 720 stores the identification information of a management terminal device 50 which stores the meta information about the contents inside the terminals 50, 51 on the network 20. During a search, a meta information search part 350 obtains from the management terminal device 50 the meta information that meet search criteria. A content search part 330 specifies the target contents and the target terminal device 50 on the basis of the meta information obtained and sends a request for obtaining the specified contents to the specified terminal device 50 via the network 20.
