COLOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PRINTER AND ITS OPERATING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the components of a color electrophotographic printer and to make its operating method simpler. SOLUTION: The color electrophotographic printer is characterised in that developing device cartridges 130 of various colors including photosensitive drums 110 and developing rollers 130 are successively installed perpendicular to the paper conveyance direction of a printing path contacting the photosensitive drums 110 and is equipped with one photosensitive drum cover 170 for simultaneously opening and closing the photosensitive drums 110. According to such printer, the photosensitive drum cover can cover a plurality of the photosensitive drums by just one implement and therefore the number of the components of the printer can be reduced and the color printer can be made more compact.
