PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus provided with light emitting elements like LED (light emitting diode), displaying letters, figures and signs, and displaying in colors different from the emitting light colors of the elements or varying display colors. SOLUTION: This display apparatus comprises a board 2 having multiple LEDs 1, a light guide board 3 disposed in the front side of the light emitting direction from the LED 1, and a pair of fluorescent lamps 4, 4 injecting light into the light guide plate 3 from a side end face of the transparent light guide plate 3 positioned in a side of the light emitting direction of the LED 1. A conical recessed part 6 is formed in the board 2 side of the guide board 3, corresponding to the position of the LED 1. The recessed part 6 has a half-vertex angle of 45 degrees. Light L1 emitted from the LED 1 and light L2 from the fluorescent lamps 4 are additively mixed according to respective spectra, and display appears on the display sueface of the light guide board 3 with light L of a color different from original colors of light of the LED and fluorescent lamps.
